One To One Interviews

I also did further research and decided to carry out one to one interviews with people. From the research I conducted I saw many people like thriller movies, and why they watch them. I interviewed two of my friends so I can see what they have to say. I told them that this research is part of media coursework and they were happied to be interviewed. I asked them specific questions and once I got answers I am going to base my thriller title sequence on them and what my target audience want.

The questions I asked in the one to one interviews were:

1) What is your favourite thriller film?
2) Why do you like thrillers?
3) How do you feel whilst watching the film?
4) Is there anything you don't like about thriller films?
5) What is your favourite type of setting?
6) Do you like watching them at home or in the cinema?
7) Who is your favourite actor/actress?
8) What is your favourite genre of films?
9) Anything you will like to add or say?

The first person I interviewed was a my friend Anthony who is 17 years old. I asked him the following questions and got these replies:


1) What is your favourite thriller film? My favourite thriller film is The Dark Knight
2) Why do you like thrillers? I like thrillers as it keeps me edgy and wanting to know more, I also like the thrill of expecting the unexpected
3) How do you feel whilst watching the film? For some reason I feel nervous and whilst I'm watching it makes me feel like I'm part of the movie
4) Is there anything you don't like about thriller films? Not really I really enjoy watching them
5) What is your favourite type of setting? Dark and tense setting
6) Do you like watching them at home or in the cinema? Cinema due to the very big screen and the great surround system (laughs)
7) Who is your favourite actor/actress? Johnny Depp
8) What is your favourite genre of films? To be honest with you I love watching all types of movies dramas, horror but if it was to be my favourite comedy would just edge it by a little. I love a good old comedy.
9) Anything you will like to add or say? Thrillers are really good as it challenges you to use your brain and try to solve out things and find out what is due to happen.

 The second person I interviewed was my cousin Kader who is 16 years old. I asked her the same questions as before and got the following response.


 1) What is your favourite thriller film?  My favourite thriller movie is 'Insidious'
2) Why do you like thrillers? To be honest with you I am not a huge fan of thrillers but if something appeals to me I will go and watch it. I like thrillers as it gets me thinking of what is going to happen next and gets my brain thinking trying to find out clues about whats happening.
3) How do you feel whilst watching the film? I'm relaxed and just watch the movie, but at times frustrated as I just want to know what happends.
4) Is there anything you don't like about thriller films? Nope
5) What is your favourite type of setting? Dark, quiet and a calm atmosphere
6) Do you like watching them at home or in the cinema? Home as I feel comfortable and can watch it when I'm snuggled up in bed. (laughs)
7) Who is your favourite actor/actress? Angelina Jolie
8) What is your favourite genre of films? My favourite genre of film would probably be horror, this is because I like a good fright.
